As you would expect, Christmas in Europe is also the occasion for each delegation to perform for the other delegations either a song, a sketch or a musical work relating to the Christmas traditions of their country. In Marseilles it was the School’s lecture theatre that was the venue for this evening’s entertainment on Wednesday December 11th. The theatre was full to capacity, there was a friendly atmosphere and this made for a fine evening’s entertainment.
Shakira Johnson, Mathias Solinas and Jérémy Monsoin were the dynamic compères for the different parts of the show. They ensured the smooth transitions from one set of actors and actresses to another, all in the good humoured and relaxed atmosphere that such an event requires.
All in all it was a well-behaved evening which brought laughter, applause, cries of joy and a finale with the Marseilles School whose great pleasure was obvious. Dalila Rollet, the lynch-pin of the evening’s entertainment, was loudly applauded by the audience, as Agnès Vaffier looked on with amusement from her seat in the front row.
