Dear AEHT members,
The AEHT invites students from all member schools to participate in our annual Youth Parliament (YP), which will be held in Portugal, Setúbal. (https:/ / visitsetubal.com/ en/ )
This event is similar to the Model United Nations.
The aim of YP is to help young people to learn about diplomacy and international affairs, to develop the skills of effective international communication and promote greater global
awareness of contemporary issues in travel and tourism.
Participants will play roles as members of the simulated European Parliament (MEPs) and take part in debates over 4 days. They will be required to carry out their own research on the
topic of debate, and try to develop solutions to major issues identified. Additionally, participants will be able to take full advantage of being in Portuga, by participating in the social and cultural events organized by Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Setúbal.
The main topic of debate will be:
How will be the tourism in the future: more green or more digital?
