25th Annual Conference

COMPETITIONS AND PRIZE GIVING

One of the most important parts of the Annual Conference is without doubt the competitions which give the students the opportunity to measure themselves against their fellow students from another country and another culture, and what is more, in another language. The 2012 contests met all these criteria; just as every year, the nine competitions were precedeed by a briefing session to ensure that both the judges and the contestants were correctly informed about how the competition would run. A language test was also administered, for the first time in the organisation of the competitions, and previously announced by Louis Robert. And the number of medals awarded has been greatly increased, a first since the competitions began.
